Espanyol Offside

You might be wondering why, after over a year away from the site, I´d come back and start contributing to the Offside again. The website at Forzafutbol.com is getting great coverage, and I take great pride in that and will continue to provide some good commentary about the league as whole with daily updates and features. Our podcast is growing: the Forza Futbol Virtual Spanish Pub is a weekly event where the craziest supporters and pundits come on with us so you can listen into that pub argument you always wanted to chime in on but couldn´t. Well, we´re looking to find a way for you to do that as well.

So why would I start this up again just as my plate is getting full? Well, I love to talk to people about their passionate support of clubs, and I love to write opinions about La Liga which is my favorite league bar-none, but I was neglecting something.

I´m not just a guy who covers the sport. Soy hincha. I am an Espanyolista. I love my club. I love my club so much I started a Supporter´s Club in Los Angeles, California which is 6,000 miles from Barcelona. We have a website at EspanyolUSA.info where you can contact us about joining our penya. I have been interviewed by Radio Marca Barcelona and Cadena Cope and you can find a huge write-up about us at RCDEspanyol.com.

Plus, with all the marketing and web-design stuff taking up most of my time on Forza Futbol, I wanted to set aside part of my day for putting on my scarf and my hat, and rooting on my beloved blanquiazul and then posting stuff here, where all I need to do is write and not have to worry about the ancillary stuff.

The Offside guys let me join their site fours years ago and I´ve been wishy-washy about covering Espanyol for them. That´s going to change. So stay tuned current and future pericos for some interesting coverage of RCD Espanyol at the Offsides.

crazy! i posted a few days ago regarding the issues with osvaldo and afterwards i decided to take a look at espanyol’s website, not being too familiar with espanyol. my only knowledge of your club comes from what i’ve read in Morbo and Wikipedia. (i have a love for spanish and italian football and i try to read about as many clubs as i can.) anyway, on the RCD Espanyol website i was trying to look for the socio webpage and stumbled upon the supporter page for USA fans. lo and behold it linked me back to this page. awesome! look forward to reading your blog if you keep posting.

Thanks Jose. Glad you found us at EspanyolUSA and that you were able to find the blog back here. I had a blog at EspanyolUSA, but I want to concentrate my efforts to build the penya in Los Angeles not to market or run a website. I already do enough of that. Here I get to be a fan. Thanks for stopping by. I won´t promise to post every-day (there just isn´t that much news right now) but I´ll try to make it regular.

Appreciation for the particularly instructive article, many of us could make use of far more personal blogs similar to this on the internet. Could you elaborate more on the second paragraph please? I am a tiny bit puzzled and undecided whether or not I realize your point entirely. Thank you so much.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your site when you could be giving us something informative to read?
