Intro the Misery
By: Mando | April 8th, 2008![]() |
Hey gang, the name’s Mando and I’m glad to help out to maximize the Primera Liga coverage here on the offside. A quick bio: I’ve been following the game since I was a kid, became an RCD Espanyol fan when I visited some family I have in Catalunya. I toured the Nou Camp, I saw a match against Depor at the Montjuic, and I became a supporter of Espanyol after hanging out with some friends there before the game. Clearly a sign that a club picks you, yadda yadda, or that I’m just a glutton for punishment.
A quick recap of what went wrong this week. I won’t relive it much, Joseba Garmendia scored a nice headed goal, unmarked and untouched in the area, and Tamudo, well he Beckham-ed his chance at securing a point after a clear penalty in the box. Now he’s out again with a convenient muscle strain coming up on Osasuna next round, but supposedly Little Buddha De La Peña is working on his own and set to return soon. Maybe next week.
Who knows, this goalless drought is getting on my nerves. More next time

Thanks guys, no it wasn’t a good time to start this up, I should have started when we were in third and playing well, now I’m hitting the bottle hard and paying for all the crap I talked. Yes on the show, even though I’m really not here to pimp it. forzafutbol.com, blah, blah, blah.

I know Mando, I’m just busting your balls. Its your blog, pimp away. I’m known for shamelessly plugging Center Holds It often.

Welcome, little brother. It’s good to see the blanquiazules covered here, finally. The team seems to be on the up-and-up, if slowly and especially if you throw out the last few weeks worth of nonsense. You’ll vie for Europe yet, though we over at the Camp Nou will attempt to stop you in your tracks, of course. And you’ll try to keep us out of 2nd. Naturally. Bring it!
And welcome.

Finally. I don’t have to rely on Paul from Barcelona for news on Espanyol. Welcome Mando - I look forward to reading your posts!

Thanks everybody, I’ll try to put up as much as I can. Certainly there isn’t much, or as much as there is on some of the big boys in Spain, but I think Elisa and I have made some good contacts and we can bring a fresh perspective here.
